Description
This pu-erh was stored and shipped in bamboo. The batch from December 2014, Phoenix Collection catalogue #5732 came with the following description:
Aini Bamboo Fragrance Pu-erh No. 5732 was processed by the Aini minority people who reside in the Lancang River region of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China. Known also as Hani or Akha people, they have a long tradition with tea making where wild tea still grows in the mountain forests. This tea, a shu (cooked) pu-erh, was traditionally processed in a freshly cut section of bamboo, roasted over a charcoal fire, and finally slowly dried on outdoor racks in the sunshine. The tea has a rich full-bodied taste and could be a good choice for milk tea drinkers.
