Many adventurers come through the tavern seeing respite and fine drink, after their adventures. The Tea Tavern aims to support it’s patrons by providing them with the finest brewing supplies and teachings of how to best use them. We support bringing people towards a better, healthier life.
Perhaps one is like Mr. Frodo, who seeks to recover from encounters with dark forces; like Tripitaka, seeking the wisdom of the world; or simply like Princess Merida, in an attempt to escape the stress, hustle, and bustle of the castle, the Tea Tavern will led a kettle… and maybe a cloak.
About the Tea Tavern
The tavern is located in Arizona, far closer to most of our patrons who would travel through the Americas, than our partners and sources from China, India, Taiwan, Napal, or others. This means we do not need to send the delivery wagons across the ocean, increasing both time and costs to reach our patrons! Lastly, anyone wishing to learn what it takes to better brew tea can speak with the tavern’s brew masters in English, without a language barrier.
Yes, we can learn these things here in America, but the places that would provide such teachings will often still be in Chinese or in difficult to understand English.
The most common tea vendors are from massive organizations who obtain mass grown and harvested teas that use a wide variety of chemicals to impact the growth and (unfortunately) the taste and health of the tea they sell. We try to obtain the most tasteful and likely to be healthful teas that we can find, based on noted criteria.
Most of the Tea Tavern’s patrons are from America, where the tavern is located. It is a land in which people often haven’t learned what makes different teas higher or lesser qualities, a place where most people never learned gongfu steeping techniques, nor where people know of any significant varieties of tea. As a result, those who learn about tea from us will learn and understand what the difference is between fine teas and boiled leaf juice.
